Our joint mission
Based on shared ecumenical values, adjacent properties, and a recognition of the benefits of working together, the boards of Cathedral Oaks Worship & Retreat Center and Perpetual Help Ministries have created a shared vision of:
- Renewing the existing Cathedral Oaks Worship & Retreat Center; and
- Building the first installment of Oaks of St. Francis, a Priests Retirement Home.
Our ecumenical worship facilities will be governed by Five Core Values-ideas that define who we are and values we will never compromise:
1. Christian Gathering Place
2. Respite Place for Renewal
3. Holy Ground for Reflection and Reconnection
4. Teaching and Spiritual Growth
5. Holy Fellowship
We are confident these facilities will become an epicenter of Christian worship in the Central Texas region, and a hub for people and organizations of all Christian faiths hoping to deepen their relationship with God.

Cathedral Oaks
Our renovations and upgrades will make Cathedral Oaks Worship and Retreat Center a retreat destination, expand the number of individuals we are able to serve, and create a comfortable and welcoming environment for our guests.

4800 sq. ft. dining and meeting building
1900 sq. ft. surrounding deck and plaza

Capacity to serve 150 in the main hall and 80+ on the deck
New Dormitory
10,800 sq. ft. two-story dormitory facility
16 bedrooms capable of sleeping 48 adults

oaks of St. FrancisAfter a lifetime of serving their communities, retired priests deserve to live in a place that will support them physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Oaks of St. Francis will provide a warm and comfortable home for our retired priests, while allowing them to still engage in ministry with each other and with visitors at Cathedral Oaks Worship and Retreat Center.
